Maxwell's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Maxwell's Story...
There's something very special about an older man. Maxwell knows things, but he's not telling. He's just soaking up the love at his foster home, waiting for his very own family to claim him. Perfect potty manners, great on a leash. Loves people, ignores cats, and makes friends with dogs just fine, thank you. Has nothing to prove. He knows he's awesome. Keeps a real good eye on the birds and the wood line on his walkies. Give him a place in front of the fireplace, someone to cuddle with, a bowl of ice cream (once in a while), and a scritch behind the ears and life is GOOOOOD. Let's get Maxwell his #LetsGoHome. Since he's in foster, we need to make appointments for families to meet this suave gent.

For more information or an adoption application, email LvnCoHS@live.com. Standard adoption fee for dogs is $125, which helps to cover the costs of care provided and allows us to continue our work.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Maxwell, a Lansing German Shorthaired Pointer/Pointer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shorthaired Pointer/Pointer for sale in Lansing, or seeking a German Shorthaired Pointer/Pointer dog from a breeder in Lansing.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lansing already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lansing breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shorthaired Pointer/Pointer breeders who help with German Shorthaired Pointer/Pointer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lansing paves the way for another one to be saved.
