My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**We are accepting applications as long as Sherlock is listed online. Please note that submitting an adoption application is the first required step in the adoption process and must be done before a meeting will be scheduled.**

Age - Appx 14 months
Weight - Appx 47 lbs (unlikely he will get any bigger)
Breed - unknown terrier mix (nothing known about either parent)
Energy level - moderate

Meet Sherlock - a playful, friendly terrier mix fella who would love a forever home with a family that will adore him and never let him be homeless again. He'd love for that home to have another dog to be his playtime buddy. Sherlock very much enjoys playing with other dogs (big or small, male or female - he's not picky), then curling up nearby for a nap. He rides very well in the car and is good on a leash. He did not grow up around cats and has seemed perhaps a bit too curious in the ones in my neighborhood, so he may not be good with a kitty companion. He's been around kids of varying ages and often has a streak of mischief similar to a toddler - very curious about things and very tactile. He'd be best in a home with no babies or toddlers due to his exuberant and tactile personality.

This handsome fella was originally rescued as a young puppy with his litter mates in April 2016. He was adopted at the end of April then returned nine months later. The adopters did not exercise him regularly, instead keeping him locked in a crate. Needless to say, he was bursting with puppy energy when he would be released. All he needed was sufficient exercise and playtime. A home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely frolic with his family during outdoors playtime would be ideal for him. I would describe his energy level as moderate - he's no couch potato but also isn't bouncing off the walls with energy.

Sherlock is house trained, neutered, microchipped, current on vaccinations, and on monthly heartworm preventative. The adoption fee is $165.

If you're interested in giving Sherlock a loving FOREVER home, please complete an application via our website, www.cofas.org. If you have questions, you can email me (his foster mom) at fostermomjudy@gmail.com.
