My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sugar Babies! This baby is one of 5 puppies born to mama Sugar on January 20, 2017. Sugar was saved from going to the shelter by a kind person who took her in when she heard that's where she was headed. She adored Sugar's sweet. loving nature and grieved over giving her up. However, she works two jobs and is rarely home so she knew it was not the best life for Sugar. This good Samaritan contacted JoJo's to see if we could help when she realized Sugar was probably going to have puppies. We took Sugar in knowing she was expecting and it turned out to be in the nick of time....Sugar had her puppies two days after coming to us.

We were told Sugar is a Chihuahua mix, and we know she must be mixed with a somewhat larger breed than Chihuahua as she is 27 lbs. (She may weigh a bit less than that when she is done nursing her puppies, so she would be considered a "large small" or a "small medium" sized girl.) The person who surrendered her to us thinks that the father of the puppies is a full Chihuahua, but that is also uncertain. That is the only dog it could be if Sugar was not pregnant when she took her in, but the timing of the birth of the puppies makes it possible that she was already pregnant when her owner saved her, in which case the father is a complete unknown. Whatever these babies are, we do not believe they will be very big when full grown and they are all as cute and sweet as can be. At 5 weeks old they weigh from 3-4 lbs. They will be 8 weeks old and ready for forever homes on March 17th. We are taking applications now and hope to have them all adopted by the time they are old enough to go home.

If you are interested in giving this sweet baby a home, please go to our website http://jojosdoghouse.com and download an application or email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you one. Adoption fee is $250 and includes age-appropriate vaccinations, microchip, and parasite treatment. Thanks for choosing adoption!

Please visit our Facebook page JoJo's DogHouse (non-profit) to learn more about us and see many of the dogs we have rescued. We hope you'll join JoJo's family of adopters!
