The sweet Emma is a 2 year old Torbie who came to us as an owner surrender when her family was moving and could not take her with. This girl is a bit timid right now, settling into her new surroundings. Her world has been turned upside down because they have had her since she was 6 weeks old. We are hoping she won't have to stay with us long and we can find her a new forever home and get her into a house rather quickly so she can have some normalcy. Emma is good with children and other cats but is completely unsure about canine companions. That's not to say she wouldn't warm up to the right one though. Emma is also litter box trained and used to having run of the house but has never gone outside.

Emma's adoption fee is $75.00 which covers her wellness check, age appropriate vaccinations, rabies shot and spay surgery.
EMMA, Domestic Short Hair & Torbie Mix has been shared from Shelter Exchange.

About Stephens County Humane Society

About Our Shelter...

We are a Humane Society and Rescue organization serving Stephens County, Oklahoma and it's communities. We work closely with local municipal animal control departments in providing shelter to abandoned, abused, and surrendered animals, and finding homes for as many adoptable pets as we possibly can. We stress spaying and neutering as the one key way to prevent unwanted puppies and kittens.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our Shelter is located at 714 Martin Luther King Ave., Duncan, Oklahoma 73533. Our current hours are:

Monday & Thursday : closed except for intakes
Tuesday & Friday : 12-6
Wednesday & Saturday: 12-4
Sunday: 12-2

We are closed all major Holidays

Our Adoption Process...

We use a simple adoption application/agreement. To complete the application process, we ask for reference letters from the adopting family's veterinarian and two character references. Adoption fees are $100.00 for dogs and $75.00 for cats. Fees include spay/neuter surgery, rabies vaccination and age appropriate vaccinations.

We have 3 main requirements for our dog adoptions.
1- We require a fenced yard
2- If you rent, we require a letter from the landlord stating
pets are permitted in their residence.
3- If you have dogs currently, arrangements must be
made for a meet and greet to ensure all parties are
agreeable.
