found a new home!
Plenty of my friends are looking
for one too. Find a pet to adopt.
I am up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.
Beckett immediately made it clear that he's a LOVE! His adorable little nose sniffed shyly through the bars at an outstretched hand...and then an ear to ear smile. Beckett was brought out of his cage.. and before you know it, he was in our rescuer's lap. He was shy and a bit frightened but was so happy for the hugs and sense of safety.
This 9 - 12 month old, 15 lb cutie-pie truly lights up when he feels like he's done a good job... some serious belly rubs and kind words will send him over the moon. Beckett wants to be a people dog...with a bit of post-shelter confidence and love, he will be overjoyed that he's finally found his forever family.
We are searching for either an adult-only home, active retirees or a home with older, dog-crazy kids for this very kind pup. It's not that Beckett doesn't like young children.. but he can become a bit overwhelmed by rowdiness and very loud voices - therefore a family with very young kids will not be considered.
We envision Beckett with fun-loving retirees who want an adorable young dog as a family member and companion. He would be so excited to spend his days in the company of his people....he's quiet and mellow enough to spend some afternoon time snoozing on the couch or would be very excited to go for a long walk on mountain trails or neighborhood paths....just as long as he's with his person.
Beckett would also be a perfect office dog in a dog-friendly workplace....he would be well behaved and respectful (as long as he can sleep on your feet...great foot warmer) He can have moments of shyness from the turmoil that has been in his life...a guardian who is present and full of good intention can readily get this great pup past any insecure feelings and let him know he is loved and will never be abandoned again.
Beckett won't be neutered when he arrives in Denver - while we request it, there just aren't enough vets to cover the needs of the vast number of homeless dogs in this part of Kansas. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Beckett's neuter and microchip after his arrival in Colorado if our Denver vet is used.
Beckett will be arriving on transport in Denver on Tuesday 3/7/17. If interested in this very sweet guy who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to firstname.lastname@example.org or fax to 303-443-7730.
