Facts about Oliver Julius

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Senior
  • Sex: Male
  • ID#: A1029368
  • Hair: Short
Oliver Julius was abandoned outside the animal shelter in a cat carrier in subzero degree weather. Despite being mistreated, he still has a loving heart and a gentle soul. OJ is a beautiful, low-maintenance boy with a coat the color of sunshine, cute little white boots and mittens, and an extremely warm, comforting presence. He’s respectful of other friendly cats, though he would be fine as an only cat too. OJ has no interest in drama or mischief. He’s happiest when he has a comfy spot to sleep in, preferably by your side on the couch. He has an independent personality, so he’ll be fine on his own if his human works long hours—though he enjoys a good head rub when he’s in the right mood. He appreciates affection on his terms, so he’ll need a patient person willing to give him his space and allow him to invite affection when he’s feels comfortable. When he does, he’ll sit by your side and purr when you pet him. This adorable golden nugget is considered a senior - born around 3/21/16, but he doesn’t look a day over six! Handsome, mellow and polite (he never demands food or jumps up on the table or the bed), Oliver Julius is a distinguished gentleman who needs a caring person to show him what it means to be loved and respected.

About Anjellicle Cats Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Anjellicle Cats Rescue is a no-kill, all-volunteer,
not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. We are a member
of the Mayor's Alliance and a New Hope Partner with
the New York Animal Care & Control (ACC). For over ten years, this Hell's Kitchen shelter has been a lifeline
for abandoned, stray, and neglected cats and kittens.
In addition, we work closely with the ACC to pull out
those who are in danger of being euthanized due to
overcrowding. Each one is welcomed with kindness and medical attention, with the goal of placement into a permanent, loving home.

Well-known within the Broadway community, we have been featured on Fox 5 Morning Show, New York 1 Television and in Time Out magazine. We always enjoy meeting new volunteers and people who share our mission -- to compassionately rescue, care for and place New York City's homeless cats and kittens.

Come in today to see our "cat room" and maybe you'll
find a new friend -- one of our truly "Anjellicle

Come Meet Our Pets...

If you've found the cat of your dreams and wish to begin the adoption process, you only need to call or email Anjellicle Cats Rescue and arrange to meet a representative at Spoiled Brats, 340 W. 49th St.. Adoptions are done by appointment although there is usually someone on site every evening from 6 - 8pm.

Our Adoption Process...

Once you've filled out an application, someone will go through an adoption package with you with updated information on cat care. We require a donation of $125 for one cat or $225 for two. The kitten or cat will then be personally delivered to their new home.

All cats have been tested for the Feline Leukemia and FIV virus, vaccinated with FVRCP (3 in 1) and spayed or neutered. We believe it is much kinder to adopt kittens with another kitten or cat unless there is already a cat in their new household.
