Harley's Story...
Howdy ya’ll I’m Harley! I’m a 10-month old Great Dane/Border Collie mix and if you can believe it, I’m on the smaller side of my breed mix because even though I weigh 50-pounds, I’m still considerably underweight. But I love food, so I GUESS I’m will to work on it 😉 I do, however have grain allergies, so I would need to stay on a grain free food and treats. Which is good, since grain-free is good for ALL pooches!
Let’s see what can I tell you about me and how fabulous I am…… To start I am great with other dogs, both large and small. I’m very loving to people; probably more people oriented though and I would love to snuggle on the couch all day if you let me. (Does that make me a couch potato?) I’m a laid-back kind of gal, but I’m also willing to play with an active dog. Have a car you say? Well it just so happens that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE car rides! I would make a great first mate in your automobile and I’ll even let you control the radio! I’m also housetrained and I love to run so I would need a fenced in yard or else my foster-mom won’t let me go to your house for a sleepover. Thanks for stopping by and checking me out! I can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Sugar Grove Great Dane/Border Collie dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Dane/Border Collie for sale in Sugar Grove, or seeking a Great Dane/Border Collie dog from a breeder in Sugar Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugar Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugar Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Dane/Border Collie breeders who help with Great Dane/Border Collie rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugar Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
