Blitzen is a male puppy currently fostered in TAMPA, FLORIDA. Born December 16, 2016.

Mother is a border collie mix; father is unknown, but from the "lab mix" look of the puppies, it is likely he was a lab or lab mix. Puppies will probably be 40 to 50 pounds when full grown.

The mother was pregnant when she was pulled from a shelter. Ten healthy puppies were born in the foster home.

Blitzen loves toys and playing in the baby pool. He can be cautious with new people and in new situations, but he is a happy, affectionate puppy. He is currently learning a lot of new things: house training, crate training, leash walking, and other basic "good dog" behaviors. He likes to play with other dogs, and he has met and played well with older children. He has not been tested with children under 10 or with cats.

Blitzen can go home with a spay/neuter contract -- when he is altered at 6 months of age and proof is submitted, $50 of the adoption donation can be refunded to the adopter.

About Ewenity Farm Herding Dog Haven

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a small rescue organization located in Southwest Florida. Being small helps us give more one on one attention to individual dogs and their needs. Rescued dogs are kept in our homes and treated as our own. Herding dogs are unique. They are a highly intelligent and require much of the owner’s attention. The dogs are evaluated, when they come into the rescue, for any temperament and health issues. Then they are given basic obedience, socialization and rehabilitation as it is necessary.

It is our sole purpose to find forever homes for these loving, wonderful dogs that have been discarded through no fault of their own. All adopted dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, micro-chipped, and on flea and heartworm preventative.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Since all rescue dogs live in our homes with us or in foster homes, you will need to travel to meet any dog you might want to adopt.

You will need to contact Ewenity Farms HDH to make arrangements to meet the rescue dog.

Our Adoption Process...

We require potential adopters to fill out an Adoption Application. When that is approved we can arrange for the prospective adopter to meet the dog they are interested in. We do require an adoption contract to be signed at time of adoption. We conduct home visits. There is an adoption fee that is usually around $250 per dog to cover any expenses we have incurred. We do have dogs located at qualified fosters throughout the state and also out of state.
