Facts about Dana

  • Breed: Domestic Shorthair
  • Color: Orange Or Red Tabby
  • Age: Adult
  • Sex: Female
  • Hair: Short
Dana is one of my favorite rescues. Saved from a kill shelter with her brother Nick- Dana was very skittish and shy. We didn't realize this until we took them to an adoption even where they freaked out a little. Dana has taken a full year to come around to where she loves to be petted and attention. Cats like this often revert when their safe setting is changed but then bond hard with the person they come to trust. Dana is the rare orange tabby female with a gorgeous spotted coat. She is a petite cat with big gorgeous eyes. She loves being in the house on her cat tree. Her DOB is estimated at3-11-15

About House of the Happy Cat

About Our Rescue Group...

We are first and foremost a sanctuary to provide safe haven for cats who otherwise would be killed at a kill shelter. We foster and take care of cats for another rescue organization and help with adoption events and fund raisers. We do live adoption events with another rescue to help place their pets at local Petsmarts and other venues.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Keep an eye out at our sanctuary facebook page for adoption events on the weekends or call and arrange a meeting at the sanctuary.

Our Adoption Process...

We interview initially to see if you are a good fit for one of our animals then we arrange you to meet them. You will fill out an application and then the fee is typically $100 which includes the animals spay/neuter, combo test, and all first year shots. The cats all get flea treatment and have been treated for worms. IF they are younger and still need their shots we complete them after the adoption. We also request a home visit at some point. Some cats are sponsored and may have a reduced fee.
