Wellington's Story...
Wellington is the best cuddler we have. If you ever saw the video of "The Reunion" with Christian the Lion, that's how Wellington hugs! He also head buts you so hard with so much passion that he almost knocks you over. His only special need is that his eyes have to be wiped at least once a day with a warm wash cloth. As a kitten, he got a very bad upper respiratory infection and it left him for lack of a more technical term with, "Poodle Eye". His tear ducts probably don't work the way they should because of scar tissue. He's very good about having his nails trimmed too. Another interesting Wellington fact is that even though he's at least 17 pounds of huge, his entire head can fit into the narrow opening of his favorite treat container. He gets so excited that really, how could he possible wait for us to plate it up for him?!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Wellington, a Deerfield Beach Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Deerfield Beach, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Deerfield Beach.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Deerfield Beach already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Deerfield Beach breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Deerfield Beach paves the way for another one to be saved.
