My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dash was guesstimated to be about 1 year old when he was rescued in December 2016 right before bitter cold with possible snow and sleet was expected to hit. This was an urgent rescue because this little guy was living outside in a small pen with limited cover available to him. We think he is a Maltese/Chihuahua mix. He was rescued with 4 other little white dogs that were about his age, so we believe they were litter mates. Dash is an adorable snow white male loaded with 8 lbs. of energy and love. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccinations. This sweet, lovable pup is ready to give you years of joy and laughter. He loves to play with his toys and always remembers to bring them back inside. He is a real snuggle buddy and thinks sleeping with his foster mom is absolute heaven! If you would like to adopt Dash, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
