Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Update 3/23/18- Monti was adopted in July 2017 and we thought was living happily in her forever home. However, we recently got word that the family situation has changed and Monti is being returned. Now, 1 1/2 yrs old, Monti is again looking for a home. She has been happily living with another cat and remains a super sweet and loving girl. Her adopter describes her as " fun". She loves to climb as high as she can to observe and loves boxes, bags or openings like dresser drawers. Her favorite toy is wad of paper instead of expensive toys. Monti likes to be near you, whether in the bathroom or anyplace else. Meet her in Arlington, VA foster home.

Hi. My name is Monti. I'm only 8 months old and landed in a local public shelter where I quickly became a staff favorite and held the shelter record for Best Head Butt Giver. Underweight and rough around the edges, I was very street worn upon arrival. My skin/fur showed signs of severe flea bite allergies. I was put on several medications and a high quality diet...all of which worked their magic and I'm now on my way to looking and feeling good. While I've already accomplished a lot, I still have one major goal to achieve. I'd really like to become a loved member of a family. I'm a petite, active girl who is easy to please with toys - I love to chase balls of paper, wine corks as well as catnip mouses and anything that makes noise. I'm full of life and very playful. I like to watch the feral cats thru the door when they're around and am happy to see them. I've never gotten a fluffed up tail or put my back up, so my foster mom thinks I'd enjoy a kitty playmate. It only took me a week to fully explore the house, including the basement, so should incorporate quickly into a new home. I sometimes sleep with my foster mom and often jump on her lap for petting and purr-time. II use my scratching pads faithfully. My only bad habit is that I like to chew on plants...many of which can be harmful to cats...so you must keep them out of reach. Also, I am allergic to chicken and am currently on a duck based diet. Otherwise, I'm fully vetted , microchipped,
and PURR-FECT .Posted 3/4/17.
