Nutmeg's Story...
HOW BIG IS YOUR HEART?

Little Nutmeg has probably been neglected all her life. The Monterey Humane Society actually requested her from a Southern CA shelter, but when she arrived they decided she was too old to bother to try to place. Since she was going to be put to sleep, Discarded Miracles took her in, only to discover she had a large growth on her tiny back and rotten teeth. We raised the money to remove the growth and the teeth, and Nutmeg is bright-eyed and ready for the next step!

Here is one of those precious opportunities to give a mistreated dog a good home for the remaining years of her life. Despite her neglect, Nutmeg has good eyesight and lots of energy, and is very friendly. She chows down on soft food as if she had a full set of choppers. She will be a great companion for someone capable of seeing beyond the obvious.

Please email us at bostonlicorice@yahoo.com or call Rob (after 5 pm if on a weekday) at 714-906-5942 for a chance to meet this wonderful spirit.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian for sale in Los Alamitos, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian dog from a breeder in Los Alamitos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Alamitos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Alamitos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Pomeranian rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Alamitos paves the way for another one to be saved.
