Here's what the humans have to say about me:
click on this link to apply to adopt Rocky. https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp****Rocky is a fun-loving two year old “All-American” dog finally ready to meet his forever family. He had a very difficult start in life, just skin-and-bones when he was taken in by NBRAN, and needed a while to gain back his weight. He’s developed into a proud and handsome pup, with a sweet disposition and a love for people, despite his past history of neglect. He is not a Brittany, but shares their enthusiasm for life. NBRAN was made aware of his condition and offered to step up to his care after being turned into a clinic for severe malnutrition. Rocky is tall and lean – about 20” at the shoulders, and is very athletic, and is about 40 lbs.of pure muscle now. He might enjoy running or agility with his future mom or dad. He has been in a foster home with seven other dogs and gets along great with all of them but can play a little rough – he wasn’t socialized with other dogs as a puppy well enough to read dog cues. Rocky quickly backs off with just a word of human correction, but doesn’t quite understand when his playmate pups tell him game over. Rocky has now learned what toys are and loves to play games with himself or better yet with friends. He would be a terrific companion to a medium to large breed dog like any of the Retrievers, Brittany, etc., but not recommended for homes with toy, miniature or smaller dogs due to his size and energy. He has not met any cats but does enjoy a good game of chase with his dog buddies so cats might not be an ideal housemate. Rocky is very fast and will need a physical fence to keep him contained in his yard. Rocky is healthy, UTD on his vaccinations, on heart worm prevention, and is microchipped and neutered.
Rocky is ready for his new start in life, and will need someone with patience to work with him to continue his training. If you are interested in giving Rocky the loving home he deserves, please click the following link to submit an application: https://www.nbran.org/adoptappl.asp. Rocky’s adoption fee is $325.00 which help to offset his vetting expenses and allows NBRAN to help more of these wonderful pets. Transport can be arranged for up to 1500 miles with Rocky’s new family willing to drive the last 100 miles of his journey. This happy boy has such a zest for life despite what he’s been through, how about giving him the new life he so much deserves?” *******
