Aggi's Story...

Meet Aggi.  She is a one year old Boxer-mix, with lots of love to give to the right person.  She is shy and timid at first, but when she receives love she warms up and is a sweet girl.  She is great with other dogs and kids, she is crate trained and potty trained.  She loves to play ball, sometimes more her playing with it on the floor and barking at it, but we are working on her running to get it when we throw it.

She did come to us with heartworms, but has been treated and only remaining step is to be retested in about 4-months.

If interested, please complete an online application at our website www.a4apetpantry.org.  Her adoption fee is $200 and covers all her shots, heartworm treatment, spay, microchip and her first months heartworm preventative, in addition to any follow up exams needed to retest for heartworms.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Aggi, a Hillsboro Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Hillsboro, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Hillsboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Hillsboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Hillsboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Hillsboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
