My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

MEET DALLAS!

This adorable little guy is named Dallas! He's a 9 year old Chihuahua who was able to bypass the shelter-system and was surrendered to City of Elderly Love because his former family ran into some hardships and was unable to care for him any longer. Dallas landed a great foster home where he's ditched his shy, scared exterior and has blossomed into a snuggly lap dog. Now that he's feeling more comfortable, he's decided to begin his hunt for a family who will match his award-winning personality!

Dallas is a little guy with a big heart. He took about a week to settle into his new foster home and can be a little jumpy in new situations or loud sounds, though he's settling in more and more each day. He is currently living with a large older dog who he is happy to share his space with, but isn't overly interested in playing. He enjoys meeting other small dogs while on walks and will try to appear larger by barking at the big doggies, but its all talk. Dallas reportedly lived with cats in his previous home but has not since coming to the rescue. His absolute favorite thing to do is go for walks. He'll do a little dance when he sees his leash come out! Dallas is housebroken! While shy around new people and can be a bit nippy if he doesn't know you well and you move too quickly to interact, once Dallas knows you, he'll be your best little friend! Because he can be a bit fearful, Dallas should not live with young children. His favorite spot in the house right now is on his foster mom's lap. He gives gentle kisses and will snooze the day away right on top of you if you let him! Could this pint-sized cutie be the new man in your life?

Dallas is available for adoption through City of Elderly Love. He is neutered, vaccinated and will be microchipped prior to going to his forever home. He also recently had his teeth cleaned and a couple no good ones extracted. Interested in adopting him?
