I am already neutered and good with dogs.
Cotton, rescued with Bianca, Cotton, Casper and Dash, was guesstimated to be about 1 year old when he was rescued in December 2016 right before bitter cold with possible snow and sleet was expected to hit. This was an urgent rescue because this little guy was living outside in a small pen with limited cover available to him. Food had been scarce for some time and he was so thin he had to gain some weight before it was safe to neuter him. On a more positive note, he does not act as if he were ever physically abused. We think Cotton is a Maltese/Bichon mix. He was rescued with 4 other little white dogs that were about his age, so we believe they were litter mates. Cotton is an adorable, snow white male that now weighs about 13 pounds. He tested heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. He has been neutered and is up to date on vaccinations. This sweet, gentle, little guy is ready to soak up all the love and attention you can give him. Cotton walks well on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. If you would like to adopt Cotton, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here.
We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
