My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Crystal, rescued with Bianca, Cotton, Casper and Dash, was guesstimated to be about 1 year old when she was rescued in December 2016 right before bitter cold with possible snow and sleet was expected to hit. This was an urgent rescue because this little gal was living outside in a small pen with limited cover available to her. Food had been scarce for some time and she was so thin she had to gain some weight before it was safe to spay her. On a more positive note, she does not act as if she were ever physically abused. We think Crystal is a Maltese/Bichon mix. All 5 little rescued white dogs seem to be about the same age, so we believe they were litter mates. Crystal is an adorable, snow white female that now weighs about 15 pounds. She tested heartworm negative and is on monthly heartworm and flea and tick prevention. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations. This sweet, gentle, little gal is ready to soak up all the love and attention you can give her. Crystal walks well on a leash, and gets along well with other dogs. If you would like to adopt Crystal, the first step in the adoption process is to fill out an online adoption application. You can find a copy of that application here. We sometimes receive a lot of interest on an animal and can't always reply to each email in a timely manner. An application does not obligate you to adopt from us, but it does show that you are serious about the adoption process. Please remember we are all volunteers.
After you submit your application please allow a few days for a volunteer to review your application. During this time your vet reference will be checked and a volunteer with determine if it is the best match for you and the animal. Applications are not approved on a first come, first serve basis. We match up the best home for the animal, so even if the pet has other applications, this does not mean he/she will be adopted to that home.
Once your application has been approved a volunteer with contact you to set up a phone interview. This is the perfect time for you to ask any questions you have about the adoption process and the animal you are interested in.
