SARGE - 1 year old male Basset Hound - Sarge is an energetic and playful dog who also loves to cuddle - he will lay on your lap all night if you let him and loves to sit and watch TV with you. Sarge is crate trained and house broken, and is learning how to sit if you have a treat. He loves to run around outside, especially if there is snow, just make sure he's on a lead, leash or fenced in because he is fast and loves to run! Sarge is pretty quiet when he's inside, he usually only barks if someone comes over or when it's time to eat because he gets excited - people make him happy! Sarge loves when you get home from work and will make you feel incredibly special and missed. Sarge does well with some dogs but needs to be introduced to be sure they're his friend. He likes to play with dogs and is generally easy-going but he has been having disagreements with the other adolescent male in the home, which is unfortunately why he needs another home. There is another dog in the home who he enjoys though, so he can live with the right canine friend. Sarge doesn't mind getting his nails cut, and sometimes even acts like he's getting a pedicure and being pampered, and he does pretty good in the bath too. Overall he's a great dog, super loving and energetic and fun to play with, and he's really cute and soft too! If you are interested in Sarge please fill out an adoption application with Peppertree Rescue and it will be forwarded to his family.
