We adopted Pecos from Austin Animal Center almost a year ago. He's affectionate and sweet, but doesn't socialize well with other dogs (barks, shows aggression if not held on a leash), and will chase/attack cats. Sadly, we have a cat and we are in over our heads figuring out how to get them to live together. He's amazing with kids and people, just not animals. The training he would need to be cat-tolerant would be more than we can do. He's almost 100 lbs and an accident would be fatal for our kitty.

Pecos knows lots of commands: sit, lay down, stay, wait, speak. He likes tennis balls, he likes to lean on people, and if you let him, he will cuddle you on the couch. He likes to fetch but doesn't like to bring it back or share toys.

He does pull on a leash, and he will run off if he isn't on a leash. We just have not had time to train him.
Also, he will jump when excited. When he initially sees us or sees a new person in the house he has a lot of energy and gets excited. He will hang around you and sort of beg for attention however, for the most part, he spends a lot of time laying around the house and sleeping. I would say like medium to low level energy and just needs some guidance.

We love him but it's not safe for our cat and not fair for either of them to live in the same home.
