Help us help Blue! Blue is desperate for a home and he (and we) are worried that it will ever happen. Coolest bully boy Blue is far from “perfect” and he will need a competant and special adopter. But Blue has some many wonderful traits, that we know his confident and rescue-loving adopter can be found. This beautiful boy really needs you (and your fenced back yard!). Friendly and affectionate Blue is only 1 year old and a stocky 65lbs who craves companionship. Blue was rescued out of a high kill California shelter on his last day before being euthanized. He was a bit of a ‘mess’ when rescued; bad skin and scabs- a product of neglect and abuse likely. Blue went into obedience training with Jon at Muck Creek Kennels in Roy. Jon is working on his trust and reactivity issues his basic commands have gotten very good. Blue is now in great health; his leash skills are very good and he has low exercise needs. He loves to just hang out with you! Blue enjoys people and is very affectionate- and follows your orders expertly when he arounds people. But he needs an experienced adopter to make him listen when other dogs are around. Blue is however dog aggressive and gets seriously distracted when dogs are around. He will make an awesome constant companion for someone without other dogs or children. He is totally house trained, crate trained and the best boy with people. Blue likes to do agility and training that involves food rewards. He can be very entertaining and it’s a hoot watching him fetch and jump! He is not a barker or vocal, but will give a warning bark at strangers. He is neutered, vaccinated and micro-chipped. He does like to romp and play, but this boy also appreciates chill time and is a true cuddler! And you never have to worry about bath time--Blue LOVES to take showers. You really need to meet this rugged and affectionate Blue who simply wants the low stress life of hanging with you. He is just such a lovable and laughable goofball- that we need and want to find him the guardian who will love him and keep him safe while still enjoying all that he has to give!
