Abner's Story...

Abner is a 3 yr old neutered fawn and white red nose pit mix. He has been chipped and is licensed through the ASPCA in Yuba City. He is very friendly and is definitely a lap dog. He loves to chase his toys, but has a tendency to lose interest pretty quickly. He is kennel trained and potty trained (there is a very occasional accident, especially if it is raining outside). He is an inside dog who gets very upset if he cannot sleep in bed with his humans. His kennel is kept in the house. He has had puppy training through PetSmart, but his humans have not kept up with his practice as much as they should. He owns a kennel and a leash. He does not have much experience around children. He tends to meet new humans by jumping on them with two paws. He is looking for a new home because the human family unit is changing, not because there is any issue with his attitude or behavior. Why Adoption is a Great Option

Abner, a Yuba City American Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Yuba City, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Yuba City.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Yuba City already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Yuba City breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Yuba City paves the way for another one to be saved.
