Mittens's Info...

I am already spayed, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.

Mittens's Story...
Mittens came to our shelter when her owners were evicted and she was left homeless. Mittens is a quiet, gentle girl looking for a forever home. She hasn't lived with other pets, but we are confident that she would be fine with another friendly kitty. Mittens has lived with children, so she would be a great addition to a family.

Mittens is about 2 years old, spayed, vaccinated, feline leukemia/AIDS negative, and is current on flea/tick preventative. She is also microchipped with a lifetime registration. To meet her, please visit our adoption center at PetSmart, 400 Universal Drive, North Haven or complete our adoption application by visiting our website www.HalfwayHomeRescue.org. Adoption donation $175

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Mittens, a North Haven Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in North Haven, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in North Haven.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Haven already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Haven breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Haven paves the way for another one to be saved.
