Introducing Nicky! He is one of the handsomest beagles his foster mom has ever seen. He looks like he is wearing permanent eyeliner. He is about 4 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. Nicky has had some sort of abuse in his past and after much work and love his foster mom says he has come a million miles. Now he will come up to you to be petted and loved on once he knows he can trust you. Nicky is used to sleeping in a crate and he does great in not messing up while in the crate. But for some reason he is not totally housebroken when loose in the house so you have to watch for his signals. However, he is smart and food as a reward is very attractive to him. His foster family has been working with him to bring him out of his shell and we know there are people or families out there that understand a dog with some fears because of their past. He is coming a long way and we know there are experienced dog owners out there that will know how to continue to work on him and to further his journey. He is really a little goofball and will keep you laughing for years. He would be best with children 10 and older as he doesn't like to be startled. He could be a companion dog with another already in the family. But he doesn’t love living with lots of other dogs right now so we would suggest a home with one or two other dogs tops….or no other dogs if fine.
