My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

****NEW****
ARRROOOOO!!! Hello, I am Sophie Grace, an adorable 8 year old tri-colored female beagle. I was taken to the animal shelter by my previous family because their granddaughter was allergic to me. Lucky for me, Arizona Beagle Rescue took me in and gave me a second chance.

I am a very well mannered, happy dog. I love going on walks. I have to wear a harness when I go for a walk because I have a condition called a collapsing trachea. This condition should repair itself once I get down to my ideal weight. My foster mom always laughs at me because as soon as see my leash or harness hand, I know its time for a walk and I run to the door and bark! I am such a good walker too – I never pull and I always listen.

I also love my crate. When it is time to go to bed at night, I go right in and don’t make a peep. My crate is comfortable and warm and I go in there on my own all the time too. Because I have a nice comfortable bed, I don’t mind staying in my crate during the day when my foster mom and dad are at work. My favorite place to sleep though is on the bed. My foster parents don’t let me up there very often, but when they do . . . its is heaven!

I am working very hard to lose a few pounds. When my foster mom and dad took me in, the vet told them I needed to lose a little bit of weight. Since living with them, I have lost 2.5 pounds. I am so proud of myself! When it is time to eat, my foster brother devours his food. I like to take my time when eating and I don’t always finish my food. Sometimes my foster brother gets too close when I am eating and I growl at him. I am a bit food aggresive, and am working on that.

I am one very good girl, and hope to find my forever home soon. I do hope you might think about taking me home and making me part of your family. I can think of nothing better!!!
