Balto's Story...
Sup Dudes and Dudettes, I’m Balto. I’m a 1-year old, 40-pound Shepherd/Bassett mix. I’m currently fielding inquires for my perfect forever home that can handle the fact that I am an escape artist from crates and fences. I’m pretty convinced I was Harry Houdini’s assistant in a past life. So I would do best on a tie-out and taken on walks OR placed in a very secure yard with a 6ft sturdy wooden fence. Not too toot my own horn too much, but I am wonderful with kids! I think I would prefer to be the king of my castle and not share my home with any other animals, I like all the attention on ME! I’m also a talker, I will woo-woo at you when you talk to me. Thanks for stopping by, can’t wait to meet you!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Balto, a Sugar Grove German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound for sale in Sugar Grove, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound dog from a breeder in Sugar Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sugar Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sugar Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog/Basset Hound rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sugar Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
