Kaspersky (Kah-sperr-skie ) Is a beautiful long haired border collie terrier and Australian terrier mix.
She has long brindle hair. Kaspersky is very loving but also loves her time outdoors making sure she lets you know when strangers or occasional stray cats are getting a bit too close. When your day is done and you stretch out on the sofa to watch TV she is right there with you, rolling over on her back for belly rubs. Kaskersky has a lot of energy but is also very laid back when the day is done. To meet or learn more about Kaspersky contact us through the Adopt a Pet link provided. Kaspersky was dumped at a dump site in Burke County, Ga. still wearing her dollar and leash in a very remote area. She had little to no hair and every parasite imaginable. We have spent months getting this little girl healthy and now she is ready to find the forever home she dreams of.

About Girard LifeSaver Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a Ga. Department of Agriculture licensed rescue in Burke County, Ga. We are a 501(c) 3 charitable organization and are Inc. as a non profit Org. with the State of Ga. Burke County has no animal control and is the largest county in Ga. and the size of RI. There is a great need for so many animals in this county who are abused, abandoned and continuously dumped at local dumpsites. We fight hard for the animals that come into our rescue to treat injuries, and heal them physically and emotionally so that they can find wonderful homes. We rely on donations to save lives and the high cost of medical, feeding, flea meds, heartworm meds, vaccinations, spay/neutering and so many other costs associated with saving lives. We also offer FREE spay/Neuter Vouchers with a FREE rabies vaccine to people in need and without the funds to fix their pets. This is done through grants we apply for to help bring the animal population under control, to save lives and in hopes that one day no animal will have to die because they were born unwanted.

Come Meet Our Pets...

Most of our pets are cared for here at our shelter/rescue. We are in great need of more volunteers and foster homes. We stay busy caring for so many and for this reason we are by appointment only to meet out adoptable pets after the initial Pre-Adoption application is received and approved. We hold adoption events at local Tractor Supply stores and advertise on FB, through flyers and local animal rescue events. We are always in need of volunteers to transport our adoptable pets to and from vet appointments and to meet transports. Please consider being a foster parent for one of our many wonderful dogs or cats. The rewards are priceless and you give an otherwise forgotten, abused or miss-treated animal a second chance for a wonderful and loving home and family. We supply everything needed, all you add is LOVE! Come join our team and help us save lives!

Our Adoption Process...

Girard Lifesaver Rescue wants to insure that all of our available pets go to great homes! Our adoption process requires first and foremost a Pre-Adoption Application so that we can determine if the pet you have in mind is a good fit and vice-versa. Secondly we ask to do a home visit where we bring along the potential adoptee to meet all members of the family, two legged and four to see if all are compatible for the new addition. The final stage if approved is a signed adoption contract and adoption fee of $125. or less so that we can continue to save, vet, treat and spay neuter other animals needing rescue and homes.
