Austin's Story...
Meet Sweet and Playful Austin!

Austin is a very charming, 6 year old, 6.5 lbs Yorkie boy. He had been adopted from Animal Friends of the Valley in December. Recently, his family dumped him back at the shelter complaining that he was not potty trained.

Saving K9 Lives rescued Austin last Wednesday, and we are happy to have him join our pack. Austin's fosters started him wearing a belly band for pee, but he has not wet it even once, nor has he had any accidents in their house.

Austin is a bright, active and playful boy, who also loves to cuddle on the couch. He is sweet and good natured towards other doggies. This little boy is a great dog, and would love to come play at a home with older children, another doggie, or both!

If you are interested in giving this sweet and playful boy a loving, forever home, please submit an application at www.savingk9livesplus.org.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Austin, a Encino Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier for sale in Encino, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier dog from a breeder in Encino.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Encino already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Encino breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Encino paves the way for another one to be saved.
