LOLA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name: Lola    Breed: Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix

Approximate Age: 3-4 years old     SEX: female

Approximate Weight: 50 pounds

Has Lived With: other dogs

Currently Living at: Shelter. Lola needs a foster!

Hi, Y'all! I'm Lola! I'm a 3-4 year old, 50-pound Chesapeake Bay Retriever mix, and now that my puppies have all found their forever homes, it's now MY turn, and I'll be coming right up to the DC area, too!

Raising little ones was tiring, so I sure am looking forward to a nice, comfy bed of my own to relax in. Or, I may just decide I like your couch or bed much better, and I hope you won't mind if I just hop up there for a snooze every now and then. On the other hand, I can be very active, too, and am looking forward to long walks around your neighborhood or maybe some hiking, trips to the dog park--oooh! It all sounds so nice to me!

I don't know if I get along with kids or cats, yet, but we can definitely find that out when I roll into town! Also, I sure can't wait for you to sign me up for some obedience classes. I can't wait to learn all my manners and show you what a polite lady I can be.

So what do you think? Are you ready for a sweet mama like me to get a new 'leash' on life with you? Please fill out and submit an application for me today!

Like most shelter dogs, Lola may need a refresher on housetraining. She is likely crate trained.

The adoption fee for this dog is $350, which includes the cost of routine vetting, including vaccinations and spay/neuter. If you are interested in adopting, please download our
Adoption Questionnaire and email it to Liz K. at lizk@luckydoganimalrescue.org!

About Lucky Dog Animal Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a group of highly motivated and highly dedicated volunteers. We spend countless hours making sure that wonderful dogs find loving forever homes. We don't do it for money -- we do it for the joy a dog can bring to its new family; we do it for our love of animals; and we do it to save lives!

Come Meet Our Pets...

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.

Our Adoption Process...

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
