Harley's Story...

What has 4 legs, 2 teeth, is 6 pounds, and 10 years old? I don't know I'm terrible at math. But meet Harley!

This saber-toothed dynamo is a Manhattan ACC alum pulled from the At Risk List on 11/12/16 by Looking Glass Animal Rescue. He's been hanging out with me in the time since and safe to say I'm in love.

Things to know:

Harley is VERY housebroken. Carry him outdoors (he is a little prince after all), plop him down on your preferred spot, and voila! He makes the magic happen. He sleeps for much of the day (his preferred spot being the pile of laundry in my closet), rarely if ever barks, can eat a whole Greenie if you cut into quarters and give him about 3 hours, loves to wear clothes and be carried about (see the prince comment above) and, most impressive of all, has tolerated my three Terrible Terriers for this entire time without one complaint!

This special senior is currently looking for his forever home. To fill out an application please head here: http://lgarinc.org/adoption-application/

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Harley, a Ridgefield Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Ridgefield, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Ridgefield.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ridgefield already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ridgefield breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ridgefield paves the way for another one to be saved.
