Lovey is a gorgeous, 75-80 lb, 4 year old, female Rottweiler girl who is ready for a new life and a new heart to win over.  Lovey was found hanging out at a cattle barn in a small rural area in Tennessee.  The farmer said she was not bothering a thing but he already had more animals than he needed, so he took her to a local shelter in hopes that she would get adopted.  The shelter called Critter Cavalry Rescue and asked if they could help with her placement.  They knew that CCR could find a good and knowledgeable Rottweiler savvy home which she needs.   Lovey’s foster family says it is so obvious that this girl just wants to be loved and belong to a good family.  She has such a happy disposition and loves to go for her walks.  Lovey would do best in a home without small children or small dogs, she is big and can be a little bouncy when she gets excited.  If you are familiar with this breed and have been looking for your next big Rottie, then Lovey could be your new big girlfriend.  PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or

About Critter Companion Rescue- DC

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website. Won't you please adopt a shelter animal? Or won't you please help us foster a shelter animal while we are looking for their perfect home? What a gift you can give a dog or cat by giving them a place to feel safe and secure....a forever home or a foster home. Won't you help us at Critter Companion Rescue give them a chance to have a life?

Our Adoption Process...

Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.
