My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sierra, open the door and I'll walk right beside you My Sierra, I'll give you more than a shoulder to cry To believe, there's a place where we both live forever and we'll go If you'll just take my hand- from 'Sierra's Song' by All American Rejects
If you but offer a loving hand, our sweet loyal Sierra will respond in kind. Sierra is a 4 year old silver and white Australian Shepherd mix weighing around 36 lbs. We don't really know much about her past. She was abandoned at a church and found by a member of a rescue group who took her in as a foster. She was tired, thin, unkempt, and hungry. Sadly no one ever claimed our down trodden gal so we suspect she was a victim of circumstances for which she had no understanding or control. What we do know is that Sierra is now one of the happiest girls we've ever met. She's bright, smart, affectionate, and absolutely adorable! This precious girl is already house and crate trained with impeccable house manners. She is wonderful on leash and loves going on walks. She is very well behaved on car trips and never critical of anyone's driving habits...she just enjoys the company and the ride. Sierra gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. She enjoys being around her people and keeping an eye out for their safety. Sierra is quite the lady and will not jump on the furniture unless invited and even then it takes some convincing. She prefers to sleep on a comfy dog bed close by to foster mom's bed at night. Foster mom says she did initially have a tendency to bark when crated or left alone but this has improved as she adjusted to her surroundings. While she'll be happy anywhere she is loved and adored, we suspect she would be truly content with a family where someone is home most of the time. Sierra is already spayed, up to date on all vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro chipped. She's ready to move on and find that place where you both will live happily ever after. All you have to do is open the door and Sierra will walk right beside you forever and always.
