Heidi's Story...
Heidi is an 8 year old Schnauzer, whose chances for adoption from the shelter were slim, due to her physical condition at the time. Her skin and coat currently are being treated with medicated baths, and she needs eye drops for dry eye. She may have some vision limitations but is getting around well.

Heidi is good with cats and dogs. She is house trained to doggy doors. If you willing to give this baby the loving caring home she deserves for the rest of her life contact Katie by email: whisperinwillowz@gmail.com"

The adoption fee is $110 which covers all the vet work that has been done including a heartworm test and for puppies their spay/neuter when old enough. For more information or an adoption application please contact

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Heidi, a North Wilkesboro Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in North Wilkesboro, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in North Wilkesboro.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in North Wilkesboro already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a North Wilkesboro breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in North Wilkesboro paves the way for another one to be saved.
