Facts about Alice

  • Breed: Beagle/Jack Russell Terrier Mix
  • Color: White - With Brown Or Chocolate
  • Age: Young
  • Size: Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
  • Sex: Female
Alice is a 4 year old, 20 pound, playful lovebug! She was surrendered to us and has been in a foster home for several months while going through heartworm treatment. She is now heartworm negative and is ready for a home of her own! Alice plays well with other dogs, loves to snuggle up next to her human, is crate trained and house broken. She isn't a huge barker and can be a bit timid around new people, but warms up pretty quickly. She doesn't like being picked up/carried or taking a bath. Alice has the softest hair coat and sheds a moderate amount. Alice LOVES to play in the back yard (so a privacy fence is required - Alice is QUITE the leaper!) and LOVES toys. She will "hoard" toys if given the chance. She will carry them all outside or store them in a "safe place" somewhere in the house. Alice is very smart and food motivated. Got a treat? She will be your best bud forever.

If you are interested in adding Alice to your family, please go to www.goofyfootrescue.org to complete an online adoption application. She is currently being fostered in west Tennessee. She will be transported once her adoption is finalized. Transport runs to the following cities: Harrisonburg, VA; Hagerstown, MD; Harrisburg, PA; Allentown, PA; Bedminster, NJ; Southington, CT; Willington, CT.

About Goofy Foot Dog Rescue - Staunton, Virginia Chapter

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a foster based rescue out of West Tennessee. A surfing term like "goofy foot" in West TN? We are California transplants! Goofy foot means surfing "with your right foot forward"....and we strive to always put the right foot forward in all we do!

We moved to TN from CA 10 years ago and immediately began "rescuing", although we didn't know that's what we were doing. We just knew that stray dogs kept finding us and we would do whatever was necessary to get them vetted and into wonderful, loving homes. We soon ran out of relatives and friends to beg to take a dog so we began branching out. We soon realized that even though we have a massive overpopulation problem here in the south, the eastern states actually have a bit of a shortage of dogs in a rescue setting....so we began adopting our Southern Beauties out to the northeast!

When you adopt a dog from Goofy Foot they come to you fully vetted. Fully vetted means they've been to the vet, had age appropriate shots (2 sets if the dog is a puppy), rabies vaccine if over 12 weeks, fecal, deworming, heartworm test if over 6 months, spay or neuter, grooming, flea/tick/heartworm prevention is current and any other vetting that the dog may require. Our low adoption fee of $425 covers all of this vetting AND transportation to you! Adoptions in the state of TN that do not require professional transportation are $225.

Goofy Foot Dog Rescue consists of a husband, wife and two daughters along with several wonderful fosters that offer their homes and hearts to these dogs as a temporary stop on their way to their forever homes. We are grateful for our fosters, supporters and adopters and we couldn't do this without all of you!
