Millie's Story...
Millie and Dolly are two sweet sisters who came in together. They are very pretty and look similar, so you usually can't tell them apart at first glance! However, when you look closer will notice that Millie has a brown spot on the right side of her nose and Dolly has a brown spot on the left side of her nose, and their markings are slightly different. They are stressed here, but are very affectionate and loving. Dolly is slightly more shy than her sister, and Millie is a bit more talkative. Both of these older girls are very sweet. They like to be pet and receive attention. They both like to play, but will wait a few minutes, watching the toy, before joining in. When you first see them, they will act a bit nervous, but they warm up quickly. They love to cuddle up together and sit with each other, and that's usually how you'll find them. They also get along with other cats. Both Millie and Dolly are great cats who so deserve a second chance in life.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Millie, a New Milford Calico cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Calico for sale in New Milford, or seeking a Calico cat from a breeder in New Milford.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New Milford already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New Milford breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Calico breeders who help with Calico rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New Milford paves the way for another one to be saved.
