Poor Dillia tangled with another cat and lost! She had a mangled area on her back/tail area that required stitches. Evidently she did not come out the winner of that bout. She was quite calm and onl

For some reason I missed getting a good photo of little Miss Dellia! She was laying in the sunroom basking in the sun and it didn't turn out very well. She's healed and looks so good now. She came in February, so I'm sure even though she was in the 'hospital' like all of us she's ready to be sprung. For further information on this cat, you may contact the Athens Limestone Animal Shelter at 256-771-7889. About Athens-Limestone Animal Shelter

About Our Shelter...

Athens Limestone Animal Shelter is under contract with the Limestone County Commission and the city of Athens, Alabama to shelter and maintain the unwanted animals of Limestone County Alabama. These animals are delivered by Animal Control Officers and from individuals who live in Limestone County.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open Monday-Friday for adoptions from 8 AM to 4:30 PM
On Saturdays we are open from 9 AM to 12 PM

Our Adoption Process...

The fee for adopting a dog is $110.00, no matter the age or gender of the pet. This fee covers the cost of the animal to be spayed/neutered & vaccines: DA2PP, Bordatella, and Rabies. The adoption fee also covers a fecal exam for worms and a heart worm test!

The fee for cats is $110.00 covers spay/neuter, and age appropriate vaccines.

It is very important that you understand that you CANNOT take pets from the shelter and breed them. Most of the animals came in as strays, therefore, we do not have any background or genetic information on them. Breeding these pets would not be in their best interest nor yours. Also, a Law was just passed in Alabama which requires that EVERY animal, adopted from a shelter, MUST be spayed or neutered!!
