Bandit's Story...
FOR ADOPTION: BANDIT is a sweet, mature (8-10 years old) lady on the lookout for her forever family.
At roughly 100lbs this Great Pyrenees cross is no small dog, but her friendly, easygoing nature will make her great fit in most homes. Bandit is wonderful with people and very gentle with small children. She is also fabulous with other dogs of all sizes and good with cats.
She has a low-medium energy level which makes her just the right amount of fun for a family that works most of the week. Bandit throughly enjoys going for long walks or hikes -and going in the vehicle to get to these new locations - but she is no longer up for strenuous exercise such as biking or jogging.
Bandit does have some of the typical Great Pyrenees traits such as the fantastic guard dog bark (you will know whenever anything even thinks about coming in your property) and the strong bonding ability with her family, but she has thrown the preference for outdoor living in the trash. Bandit is happy to be where her people are indoors or out, but at the end of the day she wants to be able to curl up in on the couch or a comfy bed in front of the fire. She has fantastic house skills, she is 100% clean and non destructive, and is happy to be inside alone when needed.
Bandit has a beautiful long coat that will require very regularly grooming to keep her mat free and comfortable, luckily, she is fantastic for the groomer and is a very welcome client of Jessy's Dogtown Grooming in Smithers.
She is spayed and up to date with her vaccinations and parasite control which makes Bandit very ready to move into a home. If you're looking to add a low maintenance, loveable presence to your life apply today at www.nwas.ca for a chance to meet miss Bandit, she just might steal your heart!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bandit, a Smithers Great Pyrenees dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Great Pyrenees for sale in Smithers, or seeking a Great Pyrenees dog from a breeder in Smithers.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Smithers already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Smithers breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Great Pyrenees breeders who help with Great Pyrenees rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Smithers paves the way for another one to be saved.
