Please welcome Thomas the Tripod to Second Chance.

Thomas is a two - time resident of the gated community known as the shelter - adopted first, only to be tied to a railroad tracks and hit by a train and lose his leg.  He ended up back at the shelter.  Fostered and adopted second, to be returned due to issues with renting. His foster mom and Second Chance wasn't going to let him face a third time in the shelter. So we all stepped in to save him.

Thomas may be special needs, but ssshhhh don't tell him that!  He runs, he plays, he fetches, he knows his manners, please, don't tell him he is missing a leg, because he sure doesn't know!  He smothers his foster family in kisses and snuggles on a daily basis!  Catch him if you can, he runs pretty fast for a dog with 3 legs!

Thomas is not a fan of our feline friends, but gets along great with dogs his size or smaller - dogs that are bigger than him....he gets nervous.

Do you have a special place in your heart and your home to help show Thomas what forever really means?  It's about time he learned that your family doesn't hurt you or leave you.

About Second Chance Boxer Rescue

About Our Rescue Group...

Second Chance” is not a second chance for dogs, because that would presume they had a first chance and failed. The majority of the dogs we rescue never had any chances, first, second, or otherwise. The name of our rescue refers to giving humans a second chance to provide a safe, healthy, and loving home and environment for our dogs, since most of these dogs come to us after they have been abused or neglected by their owners.

SCBR solely relies on volunteers to get the work done and no one receives compensation for their work. SCBR receives no funding from the government or the United Way. Our adoption fees and donations from other dog lovers cover our costs.
