Jace was rescued from a rural Georgia shelter where he had run out of time. He had a hematoma in his right ear that required surgery; and he was severely malnourished. His bowed front legs are either due to his being starved during his first year or he has a breed in him with bowed legs. The vet is not sure. But, the legs work fine for him so Jace does not care. He has healed from his surgery, put on some weight, and despite his horrible beginning, is very gentle-natured and well mannered.
He is only about a year and half to two years old, very playful, and enjoys being the center of attention and where the action is. He needs an active home where he can be physically and mentally challenged. He is great with other dogs, loves children, and is very mellow in social situations. At the adoption events, he completely ignores the cats, so should do fine in a home with feline companionship.
Jace is heartworm negative and fully vetted. He is ready to meet the person or family who will give him the wonderful life he wants and deserves. They will get far more from him in return.
