Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Delightful Gussie is the absolute definition of "mutt" - all the best qualities from many different breeds mixed together in one adorable package! This little muscly dynamo is clearly Jack Russell or Rat Terrier, and she likely has some mix of Staffordshire Terrier in her to give her that cute stocky body. She only weighs 25 pounds, but she has the personality of a dog 4 times her size! Gussie is about 18 months old, and she came to ACL from a local animal control. She's clearly been used for puppies in the past, and at her young age this is just so unfair! Luckily Gussie doesn't let anything get her down - she's a high energy, happy go lucky, wiggly jigglebutt who just wants to party all day every day! Gussie is a little unmannered, and she responds best to firm, confident, calm leadership. With a more laissez-faire owner, she can get pushy and bossy. She needs an experienced owner willing to help her work through some of her teenaged nuttiness and relax into the sweet girl she's meant to be! Gussie loves other dogs and would do great with another rough and tumble canine companion. Because of Gussie's high energy, interested adopters should email Gabrielle at caninemanager@animalcareleague.org to set up a time to meet her and discuss adoption!
