George's Story...
This litter of puppies were born into our rescue after their mom was found as a stray. She was almost ready to deliver! Mom is an Aussie mix and around 45 pounds. These puppies, however, are going to be H U G E!!!! They are currently around 9 weeks old and weigh 15-18 pounds! They are your typical large breed, lazy, funny, goofy puppies. If you'd like to adopt one of these cuties please visit our website at www.goofyfootrescue.org and fill out an online application. The pups are currently in our PADDLE Program (Prisoners And Dogs Developing Life Experiences) in our local jail in TN where female trustees are raising them. They work on basic manners training and puppy pad training as well. They will be transported once their adoption is finalized.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

George, a Allentown Australian Shepherd/Great Dane puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Great Dane for sale in Allentown, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Great Dane puppy from a breeder in Allentown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Allentown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Allentown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Great Dane breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Great Dane rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Allentown paves the way for another one to be saved.
