If Mango isn’t cute enough at first sight (and we think he is!) just listen to his amazing story and try not to fall in love. He was rescued from a feral colony in Sheepshead Bay, which is where he grew up—being cared for by a very kind man who earned his trust and pet him every day, thus allowing Mango to become perfectly socialized into the sweetest little boy! His friendliness was discovered when BAA rescuer Tara trapped him, and the first thing he did was meow a hello, then head butted her through the trap. Obviously, Mango is NOT feral, not even close, so it’s time for him to have a proper home and a life indoors.
Though Mango can be a bit shy when you move too quickly towards him, he’s happiest once you gain his trust and the petting starts. He can’t get enough of human touch! He purrs so loudly, you’ll hardly believe it, head butting your hand and rolling over to show his belly. Not content to be the cutest, friendliest guy with people, he also adores other cats, so he must be adopted to a home with a feline friend.
Mango is neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet him, contact Tara at firstname.lastname@example.org!
