A Little Bit About Me

With the duties of motherhood behind her, Roxie is ready to start a new chapter in her life. She is ready for a little relaxation, fun and the love of a new human family. Roxie came to us in November of 2016 along with her newborn kittens, and now that all her kittens are old enough for adoption, Roxie is finally able to dream about a home of her own.

Roxie starts out a little shy, but warms up quickly, especially if yummy food is involved!

When you bring Roxie home, give her a small area like the bathroom. Outfit the bathroom with a litter box, toys, food and water dishes and a soft bed. Visit her often and talk with her so she can get to know you and you can get to know her. When Roxie comes to greet you at the door when you come to visit her, she will be ready to visit more rooms of the house, a little at a time. Make sure she is always able to get back to her safe room as needed.

About North Bay Canine Rescue & Placement

About Our Rescue Group...

We are a group of people dedicated to rescuing dogs from crisis situations, some of which include euthanasia by animal shelters, neglect and other forms of abuse, or "free to a good home" ads, which result in dogs being bounced from one home to another, or being acquired by animal brokers ("bunchers") and sold to research laboratories where they are used for testing then discarded ("cruelty industries").

NBCR&P works primarily with 5 herding breeds, and herding breed mixes. On occasion, NBCR&P also rescues and places other breeds. We foster our dogs in a home environment, rather than a kennel, if at all possible. We take pride in our promise that at any time and for any reason in the dog's life, if the need arises, he or she has a safe place with us ("return to rescue" policy).
