Pongo's Story...
Pongo is so sweet and cute and has such a sad story. You'll see Pongo's picture as a puppy here. He and his brother were adopted to a home in Memphis but then Pongo started losing his hair (probably due to the fact that the family didn't put flea and tick protection on him so pongo was covered with fleas). When Pongo started losing his hair, his "family" called Memphis Animal Control (a high kill animal control) to pick him up. So he lost his hair and then lost his family. He is now on the road to full recovery and his hair is growing back nicely. His condition is not contagious and he is looking amazing! He is one pretty puppy! So sweet! Just a happy, goofy big puppy. He loves everyone he meets and is doing great on his crate training. He is awesome with other dogs. He is about 36 pounds and will remain a medium sized dog. Pongo is going to make an amazing family member!! Come meet Pongo and you'll see why we worked so hard to save him. Pongo has a beautiful coat of hair now! He is in a 3 week professional training class the trainer loves him! come meet pongo!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pongo, a Goodlettsville American Bulldog/Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Bulldog/Boxer for sale in Goodlettsville, or seeking a American Bulldog/Boxer dog from a breeder in Goodlettsville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Goodlettsville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Goodlettsville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Bulldog/Boxer breeders who help with American Bulldog/Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Goodlettsville paves the way for another one to be saved.
