Facts about Meg

  • Breed: Shar Pei/Mixed Breed (Medium) Mix
  • Color: Tan/Yellow/Fawn
  • Age: Adult
  • Size: Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
  • Sex: Female
Meg hasn't had an easy life yet. We rescued her and several others from horrific conditions. Meg and her friends were left behind to fend for themselves, with some of them being shot at prior to being rescued. When we brought Meg to the rescue, she was pregnant and has since given birth to two beautiful baby girls. (posted separately)

Meg is still young, around three, and is almost done nursing her pups. She is looking for a loving furever home where she can be your best friend and fellow couch potato. This sweet girl hasn't experienced love and attention until she came to the rescue. Will you give her a fresh start and show her how wonderful life can be?

About Texas Best Choices Animal Rescue

About Our Shelter...

We started rescuing dogs in 2001 and became a non profit animal rescue in 2006 out of the sheer need to save animals from the streets, and pick up the ones dropped at our doorstep. We promote spay/neuter, and last year found forever homes for 129 animals from our location, and adopted over 400 through off site adoption..

Donate to Our Shelter...

Find the Pay Pal Donate Button on our Petfinder page or Facebook page.

Come Meet Our Pets...

We are open 7 days a week by appointment. Weekends are preferred. Come see our waggin' tails and happy faces on 22 acres with large runs and a 5 acre play area. Email to ask for directions and to make an appt.

Our Adoption Process...

We have a simple contract ensuring that our rescue will be well taken care of, medically and physically, will never be tied or chained, and that a secure fenced area is provided for outdoor play. We want for each a loving home and to become part of a family. Every animal is up to date on shots and spay/neuter is required.
