Morgan (A33264084) is a seven month old black and white, male, domestic shorthair cat.

He is fixed, has all his shots, is micro chipped, litter trained, gets along with cats, has tested negative for FeLV/FIV.

Morgan arrived at ACCT with his brother and sister when he was about 3-4 weeks old and without a mother.

He presented himself of being the runt of the litter; he was smaller and weaker than his siblings.

As his brother and siblings continued to grow, poor little Morgan seemed to be saddled with one issue after another.

While his siblings were able to transition to eating dry food, Morgan couldn’t chew or digest the food. His fur was sparse with patches on his legs, back and belly that hadn’t grown in, he suffered from constant kitty colds, and he lacked energy. Instead of playing with his siblings Morgan would opt to curl up and sleep with the older foster cats.

These older cats became more like surrogate parents for him as they would spend time grooming him each day.

After several trips to ACCT to see the veterinarian, Morgan was diagnosed with Chronic Rhinitis due to showing all the clinical signs: nasal discharge, chronic sneezing and open mouth breathing. The veterinarian at ACCT gave him Clavamox which is a medication commonly prescribed for colds or Upper Respiratory Infections.

To deal with his nutritional issues, Morgan eats a salmon canned cat food (presently he eats IAMS salmon pate). Due to his inability to chew, he cannot eat the filet style – only the pate.

This type of cat food has made a big difference in the growth of his coat as well as providing him with some energy.

In the evening all the other fosters enjoy kitty treats and Morgan wanted to enjoy them too, but couldn’t chew them so the treats were switched over to tuna flavored which enabled this sweetie pie to partake with his foster siblings.

Due to the issues that have been described above, Morgan is a special needs cat.

Morgan has a very sweet personality and is very affectionate. He loves to sit on your lap, chest and even sometimes your head. This little guy also doesn’t mind being picked up or carried as this is a great opportunity for him to nuzzle with you!

He gets along well with other cats and would really love to have a family as well as a home of his own. The perfect home would have no children under the age of 12 and no dogs.

If you are totally in love with Morgan at this point (and who isn’t), he would love to fall in love with you too!

To adopt Morgan you will need the following:

To be pre-approved for adoption from ACCT;
To provide at least one veterinary reference (which will be checked);

To sign a medical waiver with ACCT.
