Domado and Donato are Maine Coon-like brothers born approximately August 1, 2016. They were not brought into rescue until February 1, 2017. Before that they were in an overgrown backyard with their very tame mom (who was rescued, fixed, and adopted into a home with 3 children and is doing great). They have absolutely no aggression – no hissing or growling – but are very shy.
Domado has a bunny soft, brown tabby fluffy coat with a white bib and socks. Donato has a silky soft, gray tabby fluffy coat with a white bib and socks. His tail is very short ending in a little pom-pom with five kinks in it.
Both kitties love to be petted and purr up a storm. Donato will follow you around a little and stand there to be petted. Domado will readily come into the room you are in while you are sitting down but will be nervous when you approach him.
We think they have so much potential as they love attention. If they were put back outside, their long, lovely coats would become matted with stickers, and such gentle kitties would not do well in such a tough environment. Even though they have absolutely no aggression, they cannot go to a home with small children because, if a child runs into the room while you are holding one of them, this type of kitty would be the type to leap off your lap in fear and leave scratches. Used to small dogs though.
Adoption events are held at the Fair Oaks Petco (Madison at Hazel) on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 4pm.
