NEW TO RESCUE!  Spot is a 3 year old neutered male.  55 pounds.  Housebroken & Crate trained.  WILLING TO SEPARATE.

Daisy and Spot are an inseparable pair, but don't let that deter you, from a foster mom of 5 years, these are two of the best dogs I've had!

First, a little backstory: Spot has spent 2 of his 3 years of life chained up outside and competing for scraps of food that were thrown to him and another dog. When he finally arrived at the shelter in Kentucky, Spot was afraid of human touch, and had never been loved a day in his life. Spot spent 6 months in the shelter before he was rescued by K9Lifeline. Although the shelter volunteers worked hard to rehabilitate Spot, he came to us skittish, scared, and sad. Spot warmed up to us a bit after a few days, but we thought another dog may help him to understand what it's like to be a house dog. Enter: Daisy Mae. We contacted the shelter Spot came from and asked if there was another dog in need, and they immediately suggested Daisy- the dog he had been kenneled with for 4 months!!! Needless to say, we pulled Daisy out of the shelter immediately, and Spot was overjoyed with her arrival. His personality has blossomed, and they do everything together!
A little about Spot-
Spot  He's very shy but every day he wags his tail more! We took him for a walk and kids came right up to him and his tail wags and he loves getting the pets! He's fantastic with other dogs, he likes to play, but is pretty lazy about it, and will let other dogs run past him and join in for a few leaps at the dog shelter. He is a riot when he plays with Daisy- he'll lay on the dog bed and look up at her to wrestle. He's house trained and wakes us up when he needs to go out. He LOVES food, and breakfast and dinner are his favorite times of day. When we are at work, we leave him out of the kennel, because he is a great boy and never gets into trouble- he doesn't even go on the furniture! We think he's about 3 years old, and is just a big ham, happy to be in a loving home! He would benefit from a basic obedience class to learn sit/shake etc. but overall he's a good boy. He'll do great anywhere with Daisy is by his side.
A little about Daisy-
Daisy was probably the worst hound dog in Kentucky! But her lack of hound characteristics perhaps makes her the best pet dog you could ask for! She's about 2, and is a QUIET, gorgeous, lazy bones hound. She too, is housebroken, great with everyone- small & big dogs and kids. She enjoys sunbathing in the yard on a nice day, and sleeping on the couch inside the house. She knows not to jump, and knows sit. One hound characteristic did stick with her- this girl is stubborn! Daisy Mae is a hoot in the morning; when we wake her up to go outside- getting off the couch and doing her morning stretches can be a 5 minute ordeal. And then, if it's nice out, good luck getting her back in, if it's raining- good luck getting her out! All jokes aside, she is a very good girl and fits with Spot so well. She is laid back just like him, and really never gets in trouble.
Since we got Daisy, Spot stopped hiding, and started playing! The light in his eyes is back (if it was ever there before) and he acts brave for her. And when they're not outside playing, Spot and Daisy cuddle up for a nap. They would make great dogs for any family because they are so laid back and happy to do just about anything. Together, these dogs make one. Won't you consider opening your home and hearts for Daisy and Spot?

About K9 Lifeline Rescue, Inc.

About Our Rescue Group...

K9 Lifeline Rescue (K9LLR)/ Dalmatian Rescue of Wisconsin is a small group of caring individuals who volunteer their valuable time to work hard in finding forever homes for dogs, puppies and any animal that our hearts lead us to. We work closely with rural shelters where adoptions are low and putting animals to sleep because of space is always a problem for them. These animals deserve a chance at a happy, healthy life too and we are proud to be able to make this happen.
K9LLR also helps families who can no longer keep their pet for various reasons (moving, financial, allergies) find new loving homes for them before they have to take them to a shelter!
