My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Marcie is a year-old white female cat. Marcie was found in a foreclosed home. Marcie was very dirty, thin, and with many surface cuts. She was worse for wear, and was a nervous wreck trying to survive in the cold and inhospitable house. Marcie is on the mend, and she loves her new life of safety and warmth and food. She loves other cats (and dogs as well), and she’s no slouch when it comes to human companionship. She loves to cuddle, and when you hold her you know how happy she is because all you hear and feel is her purring! If you’re looking for an easygoing cat that loves human and animal companionship, come meet Marcie!

At PAAWS RI, all of the cats that come into our care are spayed/neutered, receive a rabies vaccination, distemper vaccinations, de-worming, flea treatment, microchipping, and testing for Feline Leukemia/FIV.

Our shelter is located in the Care for Animals veterinary hospital, at 2944 Post Road, Warwick, RI 02886. You are welcome to visit during the following hours: Monday and Tuesday 8 am to 5 pm, Wednesday 9 am to 7 pm, Thursday 8 am to 5 pm, and Friday 9 am to 3 pm. We have an Adoption Open House every Saturday from 10 am to 12 noon – hope to see you there! We're also happy to set up appointments.
