Cletus's Info...

I am already neutered, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Cletus's Story...
Cletus is just a dogs who is so easy to love! He is a year and a half old and was release to us from a hunting kennel because he is gun shy. He has been very well socialized and plays all day with a pack of dogs in his foster home. He has learned quickly to sleep quietly in his crate at night and it doing very well with his house training. We would love to see Cletus find a home with other dogs and a nice fenced yard to play in!

Cletus will be vetted and ready for his forever home on March 25.

A $175 adoption donation ($200 for puppies under 6 months) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough) , microchipped and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites if needed. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as surgeries and dentals. For more information or apply to adopt at

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cletus, a Staunton Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Staunton, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Staunton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Staunton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Staunton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Staunton paves the way for another one to be saved.
